Hold the lungi around your waist with the open edge overlapping in front, border at the hem.
Fold
Fold the top edge over twice, snug at the waist, so the fabric grips itself and stays put.

Most adults wear 2.0 to 2.5 metres. Taller wearers or those who prefer a fuller drape usually choose 2.5 m. Each product page lists the lengths available.
How do I wash a cotton lungi?
